Plans: Organizing Possible Realities

I came across a tumblr full of plans which I’ve enjoyed browsing through.  Plans are schematic and non-experiential, so they usually take a backseat to more pictorial and perspectival images.  To work excessively in plan is considered narrow-minded, and neglectful of the variety of dimensions that plan doesn’t represent.  One never really inhabits a plan, and it is clearly limited in what it can say about a design.  But I appreciate the distillation of the idea or scheme, the symbolic, glyph-like shorthand for how the building works.
