I am thinking about anthrozoology to imagine what consequences it could have in architectural terms.  I started thinking about the Linnaean classification system, and the birth of Enlightenment-era rationality, which ultimately led to the Wikipedia article simple headed “Life.”  Opening up a page like that is like something out of a Far Side comic, an ambiguous meeting of the digitally banal and existentially profound.  One of the choice lines from the article:  “It is a challenge for scientists and philosophers to define life in unequivocal terms.”  Well put.
